What to do when you don’t know what to do – Part 1 - Sam Hunsu

Updated: Mar 31

Many times in the journey of life we get to a stage that things weren’t working as planned, even after we have done all we can as a human being and there is still no way out, it looks as if all roads are blocked and help refuse to come from expected places and no one is available to help. It can sometimes be natural disasters like what we are experiencing right now with the coronavirus or any form of challenges, be it financial, spiritual, marital, ministerial, etc. In such a situation like this, you need to do something but often you may not even know what to do. One of the things that have helped me in a situation like this is to engage and raise an altar of worship. I have practiced this time without numbers and its working. There is power in worshiping God. If we want to see breakthroughs in our lives and in the lives of others, then this is the time to enter deeper levels of worship both personally and corporately.

"Whatever the issue in your life is, the key is to worship a holy God who created you and knows everything about you - your failures, shortcomings, insecurities, besetting sins and fears. He sits on His throne, omniscient, and says something like this: 'I know your destination, and I know how to get you from where you are now to where I want you to be. I know why I created you. If you'll worship Me, I will visit with you. I can tell you how to get untangled from the snares in your path and how to move forward. I can even reveal to you things to come that are pertinent to your life and world.'" ~Chuck Pierce with John Dickson

When you and I come boldly to God's throne in worship, He gives us His plans and strategies for our lives here on earth. There is no way that we can walk in His peace, power, and perfect plan without a lifestyle of worship. It's time to devote our self to a greater worship of the Lord. Worship changes our lives and how we see our circumstances. Worship helps us to see things from God’s perspective and not from ours. There is no storm that Jesus will not be able to conquer. If we worship Him during opposition, we shall see His victory. He can break through any obstacle when we make worship our lifestyle.

I have below few scriptures that will be a blessing to you even as you engage the power of worship

“O sing to the Lord a new song; Sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works and wonderful deeds among all the peoples.” - Psalm 96:1-3 (AMP)

- 1 Chronicles 16:23-3, Psalm 150: 1-6

John 4:23 - But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. Psalms 100:2 - Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Psalms 150:6 - Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

“O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.” - Psalm 95:1-6 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” - Colossians 3:16 Hebrews 13:15 - By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of [our] lips giving thanks to his name.

Psalm 117:1-2 - “O praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise ye the Lord.”

“O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth. Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens. Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering and come into his courts. O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.” - Psalm 96:1-9

Zephaniah 3:17 - The LORD thy God in the midst of thee [is] mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. John 4:24 - God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth. Ephesians 5:19 - Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Psalms 30:11 - Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; Psalms 149:3 - Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

Whenever you worship, you are declaring the sovereignty of God over your life and you are invoking His presence. Once you can access His presence deliverance, victory and testimony are guaranteed. Take some time out today and engage this weapon of worship, this is the one thing you can when you don’t know what to do.
